HARDI Submits Comments to EPA

This afternoon HARDI submitted these comments to the EPA regarding the proposed HCFC phaseout rulemaking to ban the sale or distribution of pre-charged appliances. In the comments developed by our HCFC Rulemaking Task Force, HARDI urges the EPA to permit the continued sale and distribution of pre-charged components such as condensing units in inventory at the end of 2009 for servicing purposes after January 1, 2010. HARDI also proposed that the EPA exempt certain new air-conditioning and refrigeration system installations from an installation ban that the EPA is considering effective January 1, 2010.
