First Part of Senate Energy Bill Taking Shape

I'll follow up with more details later, but this morning the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee is holding a mark-up of S.598, the Appliance Standards Improvement Act. So far Sen. Udall introduced an amendment for a commercial furnace efficiency standard which passed the committee vote and Sen. Menendez proposed an amendment with controversial "multiple descriptors" language that was delayed for a future vote largley due to significant opposition from HVAC and white goods manufacturers.

Watch for more updates after the mark-up.
