Democrats Should Be Careful What They Wish for From Specter

Pennsylvania Senator, Arlen Specter, announced today that he will be running for re-election next year as a Democrat after over 30 years as a Republican. Many Democrats and news outlets are already salivating over the prospects for a filibuster-proof Senate, but they may want to temper those high hopes after studying Senator Specter's history as a perennial wild card. Specter did, however, specifically reinforce his opposition to The Employee Free Choice Act in today's statement despite his change in party.
