**Another Update** House Climate Change Bill Introduced

**May 18 Update II** Today the House Energy and Commerce Committee started the mark-up on H.R. 2454 and will begin reviewing amendments to an Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (minor changes and technical amendments to the original bill).

**May 18 Update** House staff recently released this summary of H.R. 2454.

H.R. 2454, "The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009" was introduced late Friday. The 932 page bill is about 300 pages bigger than the Discussion Draft released by the House Energy and Commerce Committee in late March. The Committee will begin a mark-up of the bill on Monday, May 18.
