The Pennsylvania Disconnect

Even after getting slammed by constituents in four separate town hall meetings, sometimes Democrat, sometimes Republican Pennsylania Senator, Arlen Specter is touting with pride in front of a liberal audience how he's the only true champion of the Administration's healthcare reform proposal. Even more puzzling is his primary competition for his Senate seat, Rep. Joe Sestak, strained to out-liberal Specter on this issue and others in the face of outspoken, bi-partisan opposition to the most liberal aspects of the reform proposals.

Someone will need to explain to me why these elected officials are working harder to please a group of bloggers than their own constituents.
