HARDI Submits Comments on DOL Proposed Employee Notification Rule

HARDI submitted these comments in response to the U.S. Department of Labor’s proposed rule to implement an Executive Order signed by President Obama in January which would require government contractors and their subcontractors to post a notice of workers’ rights regarding organization and collective bargaining. The problem, however, is that the proposed posting language states an endorsement by the federal government of organized labor and appears to contradict the 75 year old National Labor Relations Act. Further, the proposed rule could cover distributors who simply provided products to a government contractor or subcontractor.
