Misrepresentations Behind Bunning Bashing

And one wonders why "moderate Republicans" like Maine's Susan Collins are considered just as vulnerable in the mid-term elections as many Democrats after ridiculous statements like she made today bashing Kentucky Senator, Jim Bunning, for obstructing the unpaid-for $10bil unemployment benefits bill. Let's be clear: it has been the Democratic leadership who has demanded and praised "pay-go" mandates on Congressional spending, but obviously only because they consider it pure rhetoric that doesn't really apply to anything they choose to not pay for. While it is true that Sen. Bunning could probably do a better job of representing himself, the fact remains that he's absolutely correct on merit and no one is demanding his opponents to make a coherent argument for ignoring their self-inflicted "pay-go" rules. This isn't about unemployment benefits, but rather deficit spending and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
