Perhaps the AMA Jumped the Gun on its Endorsement of House Healthcare Plan

This column outlines why trade associations need to be careful when taking positions on major legislation. The American Medical Association (AMA) made headlines last week by publicly endorsing the House's healthcare reform bill, but not all of its members were pleased by their organization's decision. The column does a nice job of explaining the endorsement and the seemingly flawed logic behind it.
